The Butte College Student Government will be hosting a 3-part workshop series on ways to help manage stress, wellness, and trauma. Each workshop is free and includes healthy snacks and refreshments.

Managing Stress as a College Student
March 4 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. in the Center for Excellence (main floor of the Library)
This workshop can help you identify where stress is coming from and how to manage it in a healthy way.

Building Your Wellness Toolkit

All ICC meetings are held in the SAS Boardroom (3rd floor) from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The ICC is governed by the ICC Bylaws and uses Robert's Rules of Order to run meetings.

We all have varying degrees of trauma that we internalize and express in very different and personal ways. Understanding what trauma is and finding effective ways to work through it is not only important but is essential to living our best lives. In this workshop, we will explore what multigenerational trauma is, how it may present itself in our lives, and explore healing by reparenting the self.

Butte College Foster Kinship Care Program takes great pride in bringing you the most up to date scientifically researched parenting information.  We offer over 20 different parenting classes and this 12 week series takes a look at 12 different researchers and what they have found out about parenting through their research. Come and sample different parenting perspectives and decide your next step as a parent.

This 12 week series is based on Daniel J. Siegel’s Book “Pocket Guide to Interpersonal Neurobiology” An Integrative Handbook of the Mind. What is the mind? What makes a healthy mind? Perhaps most importantly, what are the connections among the mind, brain, and relationships?  Group participation is expected and facilitated by Paul Aylworth.
