Camp Fire Support Squad for Faculty & Staff Who Lost Homes
A survivor-led Camp Fire support group where we can get real about the logistics and trauma we endure. We will discuss immediate needs, as well as the long-term challenges of housing and restarting our lives. This will be a place for us to share, strategize, and heal. We need a community of folks who have also lost their homes to lean on one another and help solve problems together. This event will take place every Wednesday.
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Dare to Lead Book Club
Butte College faculty, staff, and students are invited to come together to explore leadership with the Butte College Dare to Lead Book Club!

"When we dare to lead, we don't pretend to have the right answers; we stay curious and ask the right questions. We don't see power as finite and hoard it; we know that power becomes infinite when we share it with others. We don't avoid difficult conversations and situations; we lean into vulnerability when it's necessary to do good work. Over 7 years of researching leadership within organizations, Brené Brown explored the questions: How do you cultivate braver, more daring leaders, and how do you embed that value of courage in your culture?"

Brené Brown says, "When we dare to lead, we don’t pretend to have the right answers; we stay curious and ask the right questions. We don’t see power as finite and hoard it; we know that power becomes infinite when we share it with others. We don’t avoid difficult conversations and situations; we lean into vulnerability when it’s necessary to do good work."

Over 7 years of researching leadership within organizations, Brené Brown explored the question: How do you cultivate braver, more daring leaders, and how do you embed the value of courage in your culture?

Some of her key findings include:
●You can’t get to courage without rumbling with vulnerability
●Self-awareness and self-love matter. Who we are is how we lead.
●Courage is contagious.
