Most kinds of stress can be described in terms of conflict within the brain. The older part of the "downstairs brain," conflicts with the newer part of the brain, the "upstairs brain." Both sets of structures work to help us survive, but they do not always agree about what best serves survival. In this class, you'll come to understand the roots of that conflict and learn what you can do to take the power our of your stress.
