Fall 2019 Excess Units Petition Deadline
For students who failed to meet SAP time frame criteria. Students disqualified for exceeding time frame requirements may appeal by submitting an Excess Units Petition. Deadline for submitting a petition for the FALL 2019 semester is November 30, 2019.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Extenuating Circumstances Appeal (SAP):
For students who failed to meet SAP criteria. Extenuating circumstances may include serious illness or injury, the death of an immediate family member, or other non-recurring catastrophic or compelling situation beyond the student's reasonable control. The Financial Aid Office is accepting SAP Appeals on September 23, 2019. See SAP Appeal for details.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend and will have an opportunity to provide feedback after each candidate.

37th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition
The Butte College Art Gallery is pleased to announce the highly anticipated Juried Student Art Exhibition. The work will be on display from May 6th to May 21st, 2019 in the Butte College Art Gallery. A reception will take place on Thursday, May 9th 4-6 pm. The awards ceremony is at 5 pm. Food and refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
This annual show is always worth a visit to the Art Building. Work includes painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital media, multimedia/film, sculpture, glass, fiber, fashion, textiles, ceramics, laser cut/etched and CNC-created. Each piece is chosen for excellence in aesthetic quality. Awards will be given for Best in Show, Best in Category, Honorable Mentions, and Purchase Awards. Butte’s Gallery Production course is hanging the show with teacher Rebecca Shelly. Judges this year are two local artists, Rebecca Wallace and Josh Funk.

Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline empowers adults with the Seven Powers for Self-Control. These powers change adults’ perception and relationship with conflict, empowering them to be proactive instead of reactive during conflict times. As adults begin to change their attitudes and behaviors, so will the children in their care.
