37th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition
The Butte College Art Gallery is pleased to announce the highly anticipated Juried Student Art Exhibition. The work will be on display from May 6th to May 21st, 2019 in the Butte College Art Gallery. A reception will take place on Thursday, May 9th 4-6 pm. The awards ceremony is at 5 pm. Food and refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
This annual show is always worth a visit to the Art Building. Work includes painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital media, multimedia/film, sculpture, glass, fiber, fashion, textiles, ceramics, laser cut/etched and CNC-created. Each piece is chosen for excellence in aesthetic quality. Awards will be given for Best in Show, Best in Category, Honorable Mentions, and Purchase Awards. Butte’s Gallery Production course is hanging the show with teacher Rebecca Shelly. Judges this year are two local artists, Rebecca Wallace and Josh Funk. |
