All Day Giving Tuesday
On Giving Tuesday, Butte College will join thousands of colleges and nonprofits around the world in a global day of giving. Our goal is to increase awareness and support to benefit the outstanding students, faculty, and programs of Butte College. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for our campus to come together and show our “BC Pride” by giving back to what we care about most. Donate any time between November 7-29! Watch for more information this fall.

Donors may select the fund nearest & dearest to their heart, or one of the recommended areas of support provided by the Foundation, such as the Butte College Promise, Student Emergency Grants, Athletics, Roadrunner Hub, Faculty & Staff Development Grants, Campus Community Fund or unrestricted support for the College to apply where the need is greatest.

Isabella K. Saavedra is an artist and indigiqueer person (Pit River Madesi +
Salvadorenx) based in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Oroville, CA,
Saavedra attended Butte College before transferring to Southern Oregon
University to earn a B.S. in Art. After working at the Oregon Shakespeare
Festival as a props artisan, Saavedra moved to Portland and is now a studio
assistant at Marie Watt Studio. Saavedra’s practice is an amalgam of
painting, sculpture, and textiles that investigates personal history, ancestry,
daydream, and collective experiences. The selection of work on view is from
two ongoing series: Sardine Cans and Remnants. These series utilize found
and discarded materials and record the artist’s “NOW-isms”
