The IDEA office and Student Health Clinic are collaborating together on BC Helping Academy 2022. Join Juni Banerjee-Stevens as Juni facilitates this intensive 2-week seminar is aimed at bringing together faculty & staff to develop a shared understanding of mental health awareness from and EDI lens to support all members of our campus. We hope you will consider submitting an application to participate. The deadline to submit an application is May 20, 2022. Space is limited to 30 people.

As you all know, Marc Cardinet, our full-time Sculpture tech, retired last semester. Marc is now devoting his time to creating art and recently had a one-man show in Sacramento.

Butte College Student Services has committed to provide a year long anti-racism speaker series. Past speakers can be found in the professional development archives.
Join the Student Services team as we host Dr. Abdimalik Buul. 
Dr. Buul is a dynamic leader within the Sand Diego community and the state of California. He completed his doctorate work in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California (USC) He was the first Somali to be hired as a tenure track faculty member at Southwestern College, he served as Umoja Coordinator and Chair of the Black Alliance. His focus has been working on anti-racism, diversity hiring, curricula trauma, and working with Black males.
