Ten Week Developing Capable Young People
This is a 1o week series. Developing Capable Young People is a phenomenal parenting series created and developed by H. Stephen Glenn. The premise of this parenting approach is to work with youth's perceptions of themselves and the world. Giving youth the messages: You Are Significant, You Are Capable, You Have Influence and You Are Needed, truly can change a youth's life for the better! Come learn how to apply this model of parenting and influence your own life as well.
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Chico 8 Week Positive Discipline
This is an 8 week series. Positive Discipline includes skill for practical application to help youth stop misbehaving and teach them self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation and problem-solving. Come learn how to how to solve defiance, whining and all the other "problem" behaviors children and teens use to drive you crazy. Jane Nelsen, Ed.D. author of Positive Discipline, approaches parenting in a comprehensive, fast-paced and fun way that makes sense!
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM Rainbow Relationships
Maintaining healthy relationships are very important, even more so when you are a part of a marginalized demographic. This workshop will cover why healthy relationships are so important to LGBTQ+ folks, signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships, and topics related to consent. Located in Safe Place Student Lounge. Light refreshments available.

Celebrate Valentine's Day with the Black Student Union at the Culture and Community Center! Create cards of love for your dear ones!

Exploring how Hollywood portrays love and how we can challenge those views. Join for conversation around how we can do better.
4:15 PM - 5:30 PM Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for community college students. Our local chapter, Beta Theta Kappa, is engaged in a number of activities under the four hallmarks of Leadership, Service, Fellowship and Scholarship. Although many members of Beta Theta Kappa are also enrolled in Butte College's Honors Program, this is not a requirement.

Pacific Islanders Club at Butte College is open to all students. We focus on issues concerning Pacific Islander students, and providing a network of support for our members. We find ways to highlight the richness of Polynesian culture at Butte College, in collaboration with Chico State, and within the nearby communities through education, service, and social activities.
This club meets on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Chico Center in room 134
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Butte Start-ups Club Meeting
We are a club for anyone interested in business and entrepreneurship. We host guest speakers, participate in business competitions, and learn more about business in general. We are open to any majors and are always actively seeking new members.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Novel Writing Club Meeting
To improve the skill and craft of writing novels, members submit chapters of a work in progress on a regular rotation, and take part in critique during each meeting.
Club meeting time is Wednesdays from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Chico Center Room 218.
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Western Heritage Club Meeting
Students working to foster and develop the sport of rodeo at the college level so that it provides competitive and educational opportunities for students. The Western Heritage & Agriculture Assn. is committed to raising awareness, understanding and appreciation for Agriculture, the sport of rodeo as well as our western heritage and lifestyle.
This club meets Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Butte County Fairgrounds. Please contact the club advisor for more details.

Providing guidance, information, and support to formerly incarcerated students, those affected by the incarceral system, and allies of restorative justice.
This club meets on Wednesdays alternating between the main campus and the Chico Center.
