12:00 AM | 2017-2018 Federal Work-Study The first-day students can apply for Federal Work-Study jobs for the 2017-2018 Academic Year is July 31, 2017. Below are the steps you need to do for Federal Work-Study.
- Print a copy of your 2017-2018 Financial Aid Award letter from your MyBC account.
- Must be Enrolled in 6 units.
- Bring the printed award letter to the Job Placement & Cooperative Education Office (Career Center, SAS building, 2nd floor) for Job Placement to verify your eligibility and to see and apply for available positions.
- Follow up ASAP on work-study employment options available through the Job Placement Office.
- Once hired, Financial Aid will include Work-Study in your financial aid award and complete a Job Authorization Card that you can pick up at Job Placement in order to complete the hiring process.

Orientation is for new Butte College students. Orientation includes general information about Butte College and the services available to students; a campus tour; and counseling/advising and registering for classes. All students new to Butte College must complete orientation. See orientation website for exemptions to orientation.
