All Day Run for Student Government by March 29

The Butte College Student Government (A.S.) is now accepting Student Government applications for the 23/24 academic year!   Applications due March 29.

Student Government members represent the student voice regarding important matters that affect their experience at Butte College. They participate on campus committees and help fund campus projects, student initiatives, clubs, campus events and more!

Join the Butte College Student Government! 

·         Students earn an honorarium ($450 to $1,350)  

·         Students receive a staff parking pass each semester 

·         Students help make real change at Butte College 

·         Students will get to learn alongside an amazing group of fellow students 

·         Students will get to go to statewide leadership and advocacy conferences 

·         Students will be trained in effective leadership, equity & inclusion, advocacy methods, how to run meetings, group dynamic theories, campus policies, and much more! 

 

No Prior Experience Required 

In fact, most students come to the A.S. team with little to no previous leadership experience.  Our team will provide them with on-going training to help them understand their position, explain how our campus processes work, and help them reach their potential!

Spring 2020 Maximum Timeframe Appeal Deadline
For students who failed to meet SAP time frame criteria. Students disqualified for exceeding time frame requirements may appeal by submitting an Maximum Timeframe Appeal. Deadline for submitting a petition for the Spring 2020 semester is April 30, 2020. For instructions on how to submit an  ONLINE, please see Financial Aid Maximum Timeframe Appeal.

Spring 2020 Satisfactory Academic Progress Extenuating Circumstances Appeal (SAP)
Satisfactory Academic Progress Extenuating Circumstances Appeal (SAP) For students who failed to meet SAP criteria. Extenuating circumstances may include serious illness or injury, the death of an immediate family member, or other non-recurring catastrophic or compelling situation beyond the student's reasonable control. The Financial Aid Office is accepting SAP Appeals on February 24, 2020. For instructions on how to submit a SAP Appeal ONLINE, please see Satisfactory Academic Progress Extenuating Circumstances Appeal. 

Please Note: If you are a student that made significant improvement during warning or probation status, & completed a term of at least 6 units, with a minimum 2.0 GPA and 66.66% PACE OR if you are in terminated status and completed ONE term unaided and met term SAP of 2.0 GPA and 100% PACE with a minimum of 6 units you are able to submit a SAP Appeal on January 20, 2020.

The Butte College Associated Student elections will be held on April 30th and May 1, 2020. Currently enrolled Butte College students may check their Butte College email for a unique link to vote during this polling period!

Weekly 12 Step meetings will be held during the Spring 2020 Semester via Zoom
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) will meet Thursdays, 2:00PM - 3:00PM (2/20/2020 – 5/28/2020).

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Stay Connected: A Virtual Student Gathering
"Stay Connected" is a weekly virtual gathering open to all Butte College students. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to connect, be heard, and discover new skills that can be useful in school and life, during this time of uncertainty. Each week will have a new focus, so come to one or all, the choice is yours. This event will be hosted in Zoom by members of the Associated Students and Butte College Counseling, we look forward to connecting with you all soon. Join us for one of the topics listed below!
