End Time 12:00 PM Queer Week: Queer Basics and More (Multi-Day Event)
The presentation is meant for students, in order to introduce them to some introductory Queer vocabulary and concepts. We primarily over the different sexualities and genders, some queer theories, and are open to student participation to lead the Q&A portion of the presentation

Libert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW) has rescheduled their EEO training with two great opportunities coming up Wednesday, October 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Thursday, October 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., for EEO training.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Resiliency Zone Skills Training: CRM Resiliency Zone Awareness

The goal of these trainings is to introduce the Community Resilience Model (CRM)® and help create “resiliency-focused” spirit in the workplace. Gain an understanding of how humans respond to stressful experiences. Learn the six CRM wellness skills designed to help you track your nervous system responses to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into greater balance. Leave the training empowered with simple yet powerful techniques to gain a greater sense of control and the ability to overcome adverse situations.
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Queer Week: Undocumented LGBTQ+ Community
The intersection of these two highly marginalized identities (Queer and Undocumented) are faced with numerous challenges and discriminatory policies specifically faced by this population. These topics and more will be presented by professional immigration attorneys from CARECEN.
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Queer Week: Bubble Play
We will meet in the grassy area outside the QRC to play with bubbles! This will be people chance to decompress from the Undocumented in the LGBTQ+ Community presentation, or just from life in general!
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Board of Trustees Meeting
The Butte-Glenn Community College District is governed by its seven-member, locally elected Board of Trustees and a student board member. The board is responsible for the educational, physical, and financial well-being of the district.

The Board of Trustees holds a regular public meeting once a month during the academic year. Regular board meetings convene at 1 p.m. in the Board Room, Student Administrative Services building (SAS 360), 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville, CA 95965, unless otherwise posted.

The current schedule of the Butte-Glenn Community College District regular board meetings is viewable online. Agenda’s containing a brief description of each item of business is posted at the district office and on the district’s website 72 hours before regular meetings and 24 hours before a special meeting. The current board meeting agenda and archived agendas are viewable at on our website.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM California College Fairs
Are you transferring to a 4 year college after completing your studies at Butte? Join the California State University, University of California, and California’s Independent Colleges & Universities in one virtual space at the same time.

These fairs are open to high school and community college students and staff. All will have a chance to hear campus information sessions from almost any California college or university. There will be recorded and live sessions, application workshops, and opportunities to chat with campus representatives or set up meetings with campus reps. The Northern California Community College Fair will be held on October 12, but participants can attend any session they choose throughout the Oct 2-16 period.
