SPRING 2020 OPEN REGISTRATION BEGINS FOR ALL STUDENTS; EXCEPT K-12
Spring 2020 open registration begins at 8:00 AM for all students, except K-12 Concurrent Enrollment.  Includes new students who have not met Career & Academic Profile (CAP), Orientation, and Counseling requirements, students taking 2 or fewer non-exempt classes, students who lost priority registration status and ALL other students.
Ten Week Developing Capable Young People
This is a 1o week series. Developing Capable Young People is a phenomenal parenting series created and developed by H. Stephen Glenn. The premise of this parenting approach is to work with youth's perceptions of themselves and the world. Giving youth the messages: You Are Significant, You Are Capable, You Have Influence and You Are Needed, truly can change a youth's life for the better! Come learn how to apply this model of parenting and influence your own life as well.

This is an 8 week series. Positive Discipline includes skill for practical application to help youth stop misbehaving and teach them self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation and problem-solving. Come learn how to how to solve defiance, whining and all the other "problem" behaviors children and teens use to drive you crazy. Jane Nelsen, Ed.D. author of Positive Discipline, approaches parenting in a comprehensive, fast-paced and fun way that makes sense!

#750.1 - 750.4 ‚ÄčThe Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is a supportive laboratory approach to the enhancement of teaching and learning. Faculty facilitators conduct this enriching, intensive 4-day (24-hour) workshop and provide participants the opportunity to:

• Practice a variety of instructional techniques
• Receive peer feedback and support on your current teaching strategies
• Learn from colleagues in an informative, unusual, and interactive environment

Butte Cares is a two hour training that helps participants develop greater awareness of spotting signs of suicidal thoughts/behaviors. This training will help participants learn ways to engage with people struggling with suicidal thoughts/behaviors and how to connect them to campus or community resources that are trained in suicidal intervention. Butte CARES will discuss facts on suicide and common myths of suicidal thoughts/ behaviors. This training will also include a workbook and role plays designed to help participants practice their new skills in a supported environment. Butte CARES is designed for all members of our campus community, including faculty, staff and student assistants.
