Event Description: FLEX# 553
Butte Cares is a two hour training that helps participants develop greater awareness of spotting signs of suicidal thoughts/behaviors. This training will help participants learn ways to engage with people struggling with suicidal thoughts/behaviors and how to connect them to campus or community resources that are trained in suicidal intervention. Butte CARES will discuss facts on suicide and common myths of suicidal thoughts/ behaviors. This training will also include a workbook and role plays designed to help participants practice their new skills in a supported environment. Butte CARES is designed for all members of our campus community, including faculty, staff and student assistants. |
