Would you like to become an official Rising Scholars ally? This workshop is for you! CCCCO Rising Scholars Network Regional Consultant Kellie Nadler will facilitate this training, which will help you understand how to best support formerly incarcerated students at Butte College. Kellie has years of experience as a consultant with the Rising Scholars Network, facilitates meetings and activities of the North Far North Restorative Justice group, and actively works to expand and strengthen higher education opportunities for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated Californians. This workshop will describe the work of the Rising Scholars Network across the state and will focus on the support needs of formerly incarcerated students. Kellie will also share resources for those who would like to learn more. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will receive a Rising Scholars Ally badge.
