Want to learn what the Me & White Supremacy Book group is all about? It's one thing to read an announcement inviting you to consider participating in a small group that will meet weekly throughout the semester to read, journal, and discuss topics from Layla Saad's book Me & White Supremacy. It's another thing to hear directly from past participants. Zoom in to this workshop to hear a panel of people share their emotional experiences, what they learned by participating in the group, and why they feel this is critical work that every person who holds white privilege needs to do. “This book is a one-of-a-kind personal anti-racism tool structured to help people with white privilege understand and take ownership of their participation in the oppressive system of white supremacy.” from Layla Saad. Everyone who has white privilege is invited to attend, and we will share what Layla says biracial, multiracial, and People of Color with white privilege should be aware of before undertaking this particular work. |
