A TAG guarantees your admission to a participating UC campus.  A TAG contract is written prior to the application filing date. 

We offer TAGs with UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Santa Barbara.  To qualify for a TAG you must have at least 30 transferable units completed at the time you sign the TAG contract and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 to 3.4 (depending on your major).  Impacted or highly competitive majors may require a higher GPA.  Call the Transfer Counseling Center and sign-up for A TAG workshop at 895-2264.

Friday, October 10, 2014 students who have lost priority registration status for Spring 2015 will be notified via email to their Butte College email accounts, which they access through their MyBC portal. Students who have lost their priority status may file appeal petitions at Admissions & Records on the Main Campus according to the deadlines listed below.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the documentary 'Telling Amy's Story' in collaboration with Catalyst Domestic Violence Services will be featured in the Butte College Culture & Community Center, Swing Space F. The documentary is hosted by actress and activist Mariska Hargitay, and told by detective Deirdri Fishel. Telling Amy's Story follows the timeline of a domestic violence homicide that occurred on November 8, 2001.

'Light in the Window' Crafting Social  held in the Safe Place & Wellness Program Wellness Room, Swing Space A (SSA)

'Light in the Window' observed annually throughout the month of October, and signifies community solidarity toward ending domestic violence across the state by organizing a widespread display candles in the windows of residences, businesses, public buildings, schools/universities, hospitals, churches, etc. Come pick up a candle and spend some time decorating it for your own home window. Participants are strongly urged to take pictures of their light in the window and share it on social media to show solidarity and concern in shedding light on the devastating effects of domestic violence and their unified commitment to make every home a safe home.

Come and catch a Butte College Football Game take on the Sierra College Wolverines on Saturday, October 25, 6-9 p.m. at Harrison Stadium in Oroville. The first 200 people who wear pink or purple into the game will get a free Butte College foam finger at the game! In honor of Think Pink and Purple Month, the Butte College Roadrunner Football team will be wearing pink and purple ribbons on their helmets to raise further awareness about these issues. Butte College Safe Place and Catalyst Domestic Violence Services will have booths at the event.

Fundamentals of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R) Maintenance:
This educational workshop offers and overview of the fundamentals for the proper maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

The workshop covers the following:
1.Overview of the need for preventive maintenance
2.Overview of AC&R Maintenance
3.Specifics of AC&R Maintenance, including trouble shooting guides,
 pre-season checklist, and end of season lay-up
4.CFC considerations
 
Fundamentals of Electrical Maintenance:
 This educational workshop offers and overview of the fundamentals for the proper maintenance of commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems.
 
The workshop covers the following:

Think Pink activities will take place October 29 at the main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, in the Campus Center Dining Area from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A variety of informational booths be featured including resources, screening, mammograms, and more.  A silent auction fundraiser will be offered with all proceeds distributed back to the American Cancer Society and the Student Health Clinic. There will be many Think Pink items for sale such as t-shirts, tote bags, cups, bracelets, pins, and flowers. A group Think Pink photo with everyone encouraged to wear pink will take place on the lawn in front of the Campus Center at noon.   There will be games and prizes, including a drawing for an iPod Shuffle and a Memory Wall.

Attendees should beware of Freddy Krueger, Jason, Michael Myers, Samara and other infamous tortured souls as these classic horror film characters return from the dead.
On Halloween night only (October 31st) from 6-9 p.m., there will also be a safe and sober Harvest Fair which will include: Psychic Readings from Moonlit Mermaid, photo booth, music & dancing, Butte College Clubs, face painting, sweets and fun!At 8 p.m. attendees can participate in a judged costume contest with a chance to win a tablet!

 This alcohol-free event is open to all community members, but the Haunted House is not recommended for children under 13 years old. The Haunted House is free to Butte College students with a valid Activity Card, and a $2 donation per person is requested from the public.

 All proceeds will be donated to Butte College Foundation Scholarships. The Butte College Foundation ensures the academic development and excellence of students through financial and other forms of support.

The Chico Center Student Lounge is located at 2320 Forest Avenue in Chico, next to Wittmeier Auto Center.
