3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Race Conversations

Please join us for the weekly - Race Conversations! Yes, let’s talk about race, racism, and Butte!

This will be a 1.5-hour meeting via zoom with you and up to 11 other Butte friends with an exercise recommended by the USC Race and Equity Center calls, “Race Taboos”.

How it works: prior to our meeting, all participants will submit 1 question about race that you want to pose to attendees. Questions will be entered into a randomizer wheel which will select questions to discuss. The group will not know who wrote the question we are discussing. We are looking for honest race questions that can lead to true understanding and change when it comes to race and racism on campus. Examples of questions discussed:

·       What does systemic racism look like at Butte?

·       Tell us about a time you saw racism on campus and ignored it.

·       What does “all lives matter” mean to you?

For questions or to RSVP please email bernalwoodli@butte.edu Seats are limited to 12 people per session. There is no limit to the amount of sessions you attend. Race Conversations is a safe space for healthy race conversations and is open to all Butte employees and students, so please come and join us!

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM Race Conversations
Please join us for the newly created, weekly - Race Conversations!
