10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline
Join us for this series based on the book by Becky Bailey, PhD who is also the author of Conscious Discipline. Parents and caregivers will learn the 7 basic discipline skills and 7 powers for self-control that turn conflict into cooperation.

This workshop will take place via Zoom:  ID 976 403 3976.
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Race Conversations
Please join us for the weekly - Race Conversations! Yes, let’s talk about race, racism and Butte!
This will be a 1.5 hour zoom with you and up to 11 other Butte colleagues with an exercise recommended by the USC Race and Equity Center, called “Race Taboos.”

How it works: prior to our meeting, all participants will submit 2 questions about race on campus that you want to pose to your colleagues. Questions will be entered into a randomizer wheel which will select questions to discuss. The group will not know who wrote the question we are discussing. Since there is no ownership to the questions submitted, please be honest. We are looking for race questions that can lead to what can be the beginning of true understanding and change when it comes to race on campus.
Examples of questions discussed:
·       What are your blind spots when it comes to racism?
·       Tell us about a time you saw racism on campus and ignored it.
·       What does “all lives matter” mean to you?

For questions or to RSVP please email bernalwoodli@butte.edu Seats are limited to 12 people per session. Race Conversations is a safe space for healthy race conversations and is open to all Butte employees and students, so please come and join us!
