Event Description: Constitution Day speaker on the topic “The Constitution and the American Dream”.
Speaker: Dr. Cal Jillson, Professor of Political Science at Southern Methodist University
Come and commemorate U.S. Constitution Day and Citizenship Day with special guest Dr. Cal Jillson, Professor of Political Science at Southern Methodist University. The purpose of Constitution Day is to commemorate the creation and signing of the federal Constitution and to honor and celebrate the privileges and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship for both native-born and naturalized citizens. Federal law requires that all schools receiving federal funds hold an educational program for their students each year. Pocket Constitutions will be available. Join us for a talk on the American dream as grounded in the Constitution, as well as breakfast coffee, juice and cookies!
