When Butte College asks you to change your password do you just add the year or number 1 to the end of your same old easy to guess password? Do you use that same easy to guess password for more than one application? If this even sounds a little like you, you need to come learn more about password security. At this session, the benefits of two factor authentication and password management software such as Last Pass will also be covered.

12-12:50pm. The most effective and dangerous threat we face is not a technical threat at all. If users will give me their password, there’s no reason to hack them. If I have physical access to your server rack, it doesn’t matter what kind of firewall you have. In this presentation I will introduce you to the world of social engineering, show you how it works, help you understand why these techniques are employed in 90% of cyber attacks and also present industry tested solutions that actually work.
