Event Description: FLEX #106
How can we help prepare students for jobs that perhaps don’t yet exist? By making! Join us in the Fashion Lab where we’ll start off chatting about the continually evolving relationship between the apparel industry and technology.
We’ll then construct an e-textile project using LEDs and conductive sewing thread. As we work we’ll talk about the
ideas that are sparked by the act of making the project - What other applications could this technique be used for?
How could it be adapted to facilitate other learning and other thought processes? When we’re finished you’ll have an
item (made by you!) to take with you.
