Have you ever noticed that big water tower on the north side of Campus Drive? Do you ever look at the top of the butte above the water tower and think “I bet that is a beautiful view up There”? Do you feel the need to give yourself a personal challenge? Come join Biology Instructor and Friends of the Refuge Advisor, Kelly Wood, on a weekly journey to the top of Water Tower Butte. Test your pace and performance on your first trip then devise a challenge to accomplish on your final hike in December. Maybe you would like to cut your time in half, be real energetic and run it, perhaps lose some inches, strengthen your cardiovascular system, be more flexible, or just simply make the trip without needing a break. | |

| Emergency Book Loan Day
30-day Emergency Book Loan vouchers are available to students who either do not qualify for financial aid or whose financial aid has not yet been disbursed. Students can apply for an Emergency Book Loan Voucher on a 1st-come, 1st-served basis, on Wed, August 26, 2015, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Financial Aid Office located on the main campus. Book loans are ONLY available to students who are NOT eligible for a financial aid refund on August 20th. | |

In order to be considered for Cal Grant (Competitive), current college students must submit their FAFSA and GPA by September 2nd. GPAs will be automatically be sent electronically to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) for students who have at least a 2.0 GPA and 16 cumulative degree applicable units posted on the Butte College Transcript.
