Come and meet the Financial Aid Staff, receive hands-on help filing your FAFSA or California Dream Act application online, and get answers to all your questions regarding MyBC Portal, understanding 7 Days to Pay, Pell and Cal Grants, BOGFW, Summer financial aid and student loans..

Students who plan on filing the FAFSA Dream Act, or making corrections, please bring 2014 W-2's and 2014 Federal Income Tax forms (1040s) or other earnings information, Social Security Number and date of birth. Dependent students must bring this information for parent(s) as well.

Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Workshop

Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for UCs

1:00-3:00 p.m.





A TAG guarantees your admission to a participating UC campus. A TAG contract is written prior to the
application filing date. 



We offer TAGs with UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Santa Barbara.  To qualify for a TAG you must have at least 30 transferable units completed at the time you sign the TAG contract and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 to 3.4 (depending on your major).  Impacted or highly competitive majors may require a higher GPA.  Set a Transfer Counseling Center appointment today to find out if you meet the UC TAG requirements!

TAGS must be submitted by 9/30/15

Writers of all experience levels from students to staff and community members will engage in writing and hone their craft in workshops led by professionals. A limited number of student scholarships are available, with a discount for staff members. The conference is pre-approved for a half unit of credit for faculty. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Butte College students will be fundraising to support individuals affected by the Nepal earthquake.

Snow is an independent journalist, war correspondent and photographer. He has also worked as a genocide investigator and consultant to the United National and other international bodies. He has won three Project Censored awards for his Central Africa reportage, is a member of the Asiana Press Agency(www.Asiana-Press-Agency.com), and he also recently worked in Afghanistan.  He has worked in varying capacities in some 16 countries in Asia, Latin America and Europe, and 14 countries in Africa. A human rights investigator [formerly] working with Genocide Watch and Survivor's Rights International, he attended the International Criminal Tribunal on Rwanda, and has testified at a congressional hearing in Washington, D.C."  He worked with Survivors Rights International (2005-2006), Genocide Watch (2005-2006) and the United Nations (2006) to document and expose genocide and crimes against humanity in Sudan and Ethiopia."

After May 19, 2015 Admissions and Records will no longer accept Appeal Petitions for Fall 2015 registration. Appeal forms and instructions are available online via the Admissions and Records department page or by visiting any Admissions and Records location.

The Ag Ambassadors will prep and serve the lunch and the Ag faculty will start the annual awards presentations at 12pm. Ag faculty and staff will have tickets to sell.
