Satisfactory Academic Progress Extenuating Circumstances Appeal (SAP)
For students who failed to meet SAP criteria. Extenuating circumstances may include serious illness or injury, death of an immediate family member, or other non-recurring catastrophic or compelling situation beyond the student's reasonable control. The Financial Aid Office are accepting SAP Appeals for the Spring 2016 semester. Last day to appeal for Spring is March 30th, 2016.

Spring 16 Excess Units Petition Deadline
For students who failed to meet SAP time frame criteria. Students disqualified for exceeding time frame requirements may appeal by submitting an Excess Units Petition. Deadline for submitting petition for Spring 2016 semester is March 30, 2016.

Students will need to schedule an appointment with Counseling & Advising, Main Campus: 895-2378; Chico Center: 879-4363 Schedule ASAP. The Counseling Office will assist you in completing your Excess Units Petition. If you are a recipient of Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS), please schedule with your EOPS Counselor. Main Campus: 895-2555. All completed Excess Units Petitions will need to be submitted to the Financial Aid Office.

The Volunteer Fair is intended to provide Butte College students with opportunities to connect with local organizations that offer volunteer opportunities. Volunteering allows students to find meaningful ways to give back to our communities, build lasting relationships, and become engaged community members. Volunteering also provides opportunities to build professional skills, understand teamwork and team building, and enhance resumes or college applications.

Butte College Students can expect to meet with the following organizations:

  • Berry Kirshners Wildlife Sanctuary and Education Center
  • Boys and Girls Club (Chico)
  • Butte Humane Society
  • Catalyst- Domestic Violence Services
  • Chico Community Children’s Center
  • Prestige Assisted Living
