All Day Butte College Virtual Gallery- Public Arts by Local Artist (Multi-Day Event)

The Butte College Gallery is featuring public art works by local artists in Butte County, in a virtual gallery exhibit. This virtual exhibit will be available for viewing online until June of 2021. Local artists include murals by Scott Teeple, Gregg Payne, David Barta, Ted Hanson, Frank Wilson, Christian Garcia, Shepard Fairey, and John Pugh.

Learn about the unique obstacles facing undocumented and mixed immigration status family students at Butte College. We will be exploring the concepts of race and erasure, and challenge our understanding of what it means to be undocumented in higher education. This is a Certificate Ally Training format to learn how to better and more appropriately serve undocumented students attending Butte College.

Are you considering applying for other positions on campus? Is your resume very outdated? Join Ruth Ann McKalip as she provides us with valuable tools and information to help polish up your resume and learn tips for doing your best during the interview process.
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Surviving Critical Incidents
FLEX # 754.5
How should you react during a critical incident? What actions can you take to ensure your survival and the survival of those around you? We will teach these skills through video and discussion. We will also cover existing emergency procedures such as lockdown and evacuation. It will end with an open question and answer session.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Parenting From the Inside Out
Join us for this series based on the book by Daniel Siegel M.D. and Mary Hartzell, M.Ed. How many parents have found themselves thinking: I can't believe I just said to my children the very thing my parents used to say to me! We will explore the extent to which our childhood experiences actually do shape the way we parent.
