The goal of this training is to introduce the CRM Community Resilience Model and help create “resiliency-focused” spirit in the workplace. You will gain common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach while at work or at home. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Butte College Art Gallery Beyond the Year
The Butte College Art Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition by muralist, Shane Grammer.  This exhibition will be on display from November 7 – December 12, 2019, in the Butte College Art Gallery on the Main Campus.

Shane Grammer is a Los Angeles based painter and muralist who made a name for himself during the aftermath of the California Camp fire. Grammer frequented the ruins of the Paradise, CA fire and created prolific and inspirational murals amongst the wreckage. Primarily portrait based, Grammer’s work populated the open walls and chimneys of what were homes and businesses before the fire erupted.

Shane Grammer has joined Butte College in the Butte College Art Gallery in the remembrance and celebration of the fire in “Beyond the Year.” Images of his mural work will be represented in the gallery and he will be speaking about this work and his journey and process at 5:00p.m.

Please join us by coming together to celebrate Shane Grammer, his contribution to our community and his artwork in the Butte College Art Gallery Thursday November 7, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public and will present live music, food and refreshments.

The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) is more than just a parenting or educator behavior management strategy. It is a philosophy for creating healthy relationships with the people in your life. Originally created by Howard Glasser in 1992, NHA is being successfully implemented through families, classrooms, resource family approved homes, health care professionals, social workers and criminal justice organizations that are seeking successful, early intervention techniques. The Nurtured Heart Approach consists of a set of strategies that assists children in further developing their self-regulation and has been found effective with children of all ages.
