2:00 PM - 3:30 PM | "Two Fists Up" FLEX # 650.08
Spike Lee’s documentary Two Fists Up examines how the Black Lives Matter movement sparked activism at the University of Missouri, its football team, and across the rest of the United States. It raises important questions for colleges about how administration might handle racial incidents on campus and how faculty and staff might better support students impacted by these incidents. Following the one-hour film, a panel of Butte students will share about their own responses to the film and their experiences of racial incidents at Butte College. This is the first of a two-part dialogue. We’ll gather again Thursday Dec. 1st at 2pm in the Center for Excellence for a follow-up discussion. | |
