3:00 PM - 4:45 PM Academic Senate Forum
FLEX # 900.8
This Wednesday, starting at 3:00, the Academic Senate will be hosting its Fall Forum. Our focus will be on how we can support the most vulnerable of our students, particularly our students of color, during these times of online instruction. We will have a short introduction, a very short break, and then breakout sessions. These sessions are designed to be opportunities for collegial dialogue, so bring your concerns, issues, and best practices to share with and support each other. Here are the topics for the breakouts:

1. Ideas for student engagement
2. Faculty supporting students outside of the virtual classroom
3. Reengaging disengaged students
4. Scheduling, synchronicity, and equity

The forum is scheduled to last until 4:45, but if you can’t stay the entire time, join us for what you can.
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Queer Resource Center Study Sessions
Join other queer identified students while studying together. This is NOT a tutoring session, just a safe space to join others. Enjoy light music and other's virtual company!

Register for Study Sessions Here (Only need to register once)

3:00 PM - 4:30 PM RealResilience Workshop Series: Adverse Childhood Experiences Suck
FLEX # 512.2
The RealResilience workshop series is based on the idea that resilient individuals and communities are the result of healthy relationships. Lots and lots of healthy relationships. The goal of this workshop series, therefore, is to remind people how to relate to both themselves AND each other in ways that promote the dignity of all parties involved. Presented by Devjani (Juni) Banerjee-Stevens, PhD

Guiding Questions that We’ll Address:
• What are ACEs?
• How do ACEs affect long-term health?
• How do ACEs affect our ability to learn and form healthy relationships?
• How prevalent are ACEs?
• What motivates communities to minimize ACEs?
