Have you ever noticed that big water tower on the north side of Campus Drive? Do you ever look at the top of the butte above the water tower and think “I bet that is a beautiful view up there”? Do you feel the need to give yourself a personal challenge? Come join Biology Instructor and Friends of the Refuge Advisor, Kelly Wood, on a weekly journey to the top of Water Tower Butte. Join us every week to achieve a semester goal or just that one time to see what’s up there. We will meet every Tuesday at the concrete picnic bench in front of LS 108 (Life Sciences) at 12:30pm. Participants must wear sturdy closed toed shoes and are advised to bring some water for the journey.

Free and Open textbooks are a wonderful resource to help students afford our classes. Join us on Tuesday 10/4 in the Center for Excellence from 2 - 3 to learn about where to find these texts. Then from 3 - 4 we will see a demo of a learning resources for students beyond the textbook; a low cost option to replace expensive online learning tools. Lumen offers OER content that includes personalized learning for students and analytics for instructors.

5:00 PM Durham Jr. Trojan Cheer Practice (Multi-Day Event)
Durham Jr. Trojan will be utilizing the dance studio on Thursdays from 5-7:30 p.m. and the mat room from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 5-7:30 p.m. for cheer practices. The dates are 10/4-10/6, 10/11, 10/13, 10/18-10/20, and 10/25-10/27.		Main Campus
