7:00 AM - 4:00 PM	2013 CCCSFAAA Student Scholarship Deadline to submit 2013 CCCSFAAA Student Scholarship, sponsored by the California Community Colleges Student Financial Aid Administrators Association. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to the CCCSFAAA region of which Butte College is a part. We intend to nominate two Butte College students for the competition. Don’t miss this chance to apply. Applications are available now at the Financial Aid Office (SAS-160) or may be downloaded from Financial Aid Announcements on the home page of our website at www.butte.edu/financialaid . Deadline for submission is October 3, 2013. A separate Statement of Candidacy must accompany the application. On a separate sheet of paper, students must explain: • Special circumstances and/or unusual hardship • Educational and career goals • Why you have chosen these goals REMINDER: To be considered for this scholarship, both application and Statement of Candidacy must be returned to the Financial Aid Office by October 3, 2013.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM	Author Presentation in the Bookstore FLEX # 615 Please join Peggy Jennings-Severe this Thursday, October 3 at noon in the Butte College Bookstore. During this event, she will discuss her book, *Life Talks: A Guide to Bringing Back Conversation*, and explain why she wrote it, share examples from the book and make recommendations as to how to get the most from the questions and activities within the book.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM	CSUC International Workshop CSU, Chico will be on campus October 3rd 2013 to host an International Student Transfer Workshop. Please sign-up with the Transfer Counseling Center (SAS 258) or 895-2264 by October 1st!
