To help minimize risks associated with operating and maintaining these systems, Hartford Steam Boiler and Keenan are hosting training sessions in AHPS 113. The session will run from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Fundamentals of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R) Maintenance:
This educational workshop offers and overview of the fundamentals for the proper maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The workshop covers the following:
1.Overview of the need for preventive maintenance
2.Overview of AC&R Maintenance
3.Specifics of AC&R Maintenance, including trouble shooting guides,
pre-season checklist, and end of season lay-up
4.CFC considerations
Fundamentals of Electrical Maintenance:
This educational workshop offers and overview of the fundamentals for the proper maintenance of commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems.
The workshop covers the following:
1.Overview of the need for preventive maintenance
2.Overview of Electrical Preventive Maintenance
3.Specifics of Electrical Preventive Maintenance
4.Implementing an effective Electrical Preventive Maintenance program
5.Recommended Standards for an Electrical Preventive Maintenance program
6.Surge protection
7.Use of infrared thermography in electrical maintenance

Join the Butte College GSA in hosting Erin Davies of the Fagbug and Fagbug Nation documentaries at the Butte College Main Campus on Monday, Oct. 27th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Get your picture taken with her car from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the Campus Center Quad and see her new movie from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Lounge. Discussion about the Fagbug project, challenging homophobia, and turning a negative into a positive will take place following the film. | Main Campus |

Butte College GSA is hosting Erin Davies, a woman whose car was tagged with homophobic language in 2007. She will be screening her new documentary Fagbug Nation, which follows her journey across the country in a “once vandalized, now famous” VW Beetle. This is a free event for all attendees.
Monday, October 27th, 11-2 Meet Davies and see the car, between Campus Center and SAS, 2-3:30pm Screening of Fagbug Nation in the Campus Center, 3:30-4pm Q & A with Davies.
