Event Description: FLEX # 656
Because Latinx heritage is both incredibly diverse and indelibly part of the American story, there is great value in preserving our heritage. But where do you start? Whether you have few items to preserve or an excessive amount to sort through, this presentation will serve as an introduction to preserving your unique heritage. Topics covered include oral and written histories, physical preservation practices, and sharing your story with a wider audience. Everyone is welcome, as you are sure to learn something about starting your preservation journey.
Rachel Arteaga has been a librarian since 2011. After graduating, she worked for several years in the archival field. She is currently an associate faculty Reference, Instruction, and OER Librarian at Butte College.
