Rising Scholars invites you to join BCSO Sergeant Eric Lyon from the Day Reporting Center (DRC) in Oroville, along with department chair Tom Williams and long-time DRC instructor Mari Peters to deepen your understanding of the life, education, and justice system experience of formerly incarcerated students attending classes at Butte College. Students who have experienced the criminal justice system can face significant barriers to academic and career success, and learning about these students' prior experience can be helpful in supporting them as they move through Butte College toward academic and career success. |
